Information on Re-Admission 2024-25
Dear Faculty Members, Students and Parents,
Greetings from Don Bosco College, Itanagar. We thank God for the Academic Year 2023-24 and for all the blessings showered upon us.
1. Re-Admission and Re-Opening of the College for Academic Year 2024-25
- Re-Admission to DBC for 3rd and 5th Semester Students starts from 30th July 2024 and closes on 2nd August 2024. We are waiting for RGU Mark Sheets and we expect to get it on 29th July 2024.
- Re-Admission with late fee will be held from 3rd August 2024 - Rs. 100/- per day as late fees.
- Students who have passed 2nd and 4th Semester RGU Examination 2024 are eligible to take Re Admission for 3rd and 5th Semester 2024-25.
- Repeaters for 3rd & 5th Semester 2024-25 are requested to contact Sir Bimal directly (9436052377 / 7005902149).
- 2nd & 3rd Year Students will continue with the old fee structure with the addition of Rs. 360 for Academic Management System (ERP Linways - Rs. 30x12)
- Re-Opening of College: Staff Meeting on 5th August 2024 and Commencement of Classes on 6th August 2024.
2. Introduction of Academic Management System - ERP Linways
Linways, established in 2009, is a cloud-based learning platform provider for higher educational institutions. Linways simplify all the managerial tasks of an institution with the Academic Management System (AMS). It also ensures the best user experience for faculty, students, managerial board and parents. Linways is catering to 250+ institutions across India. With the introduction of the ERP programme Linways, our college is advancing in technology and making the work of faculty, students, parents and management hustle-free. Documentations, daily attendance of students, Internal and external Examinations, monitoring of the academic performance of students and documentations for the next cycle of NAAC Accreditation are made easy through Linways. Faculty Login, Student Login and Parent Login will make the dissemination of information easier and accessible to all the stakeholders. Linways is an expensive software and we are paying Rs. 30 per month for each student and an additional charge of 5% to the total price annually from next year. To meet the expenses, we have added Rs. 360 to the total college fees (ERP Linways - Rs. 30x12=Rs.360).
3. Review of the Policy on Security Deposit
The Management, Discipline Committee and the Student Council of the college had the Review of the Policy on Security Deposit on 6th May 2024 and arrived at the following decisions:
- To reduce the Security Deposit by Rs. 2000/-. In the old system a student had to pay Rs. 2500 per Semester and the total amount for two Semesters was Rs. 5000/-. It was decided to reduce Rs. 2000 and make the total amount to Rs. 3000/- for two Semesters.
- One time payment of Security Deposit: In the old system a student had to pay Security Deposit twice a year for securing less than 75% attendance. It was decided that a student who secures less than 75% attendance will pay the Security Deposit of Rs. 3000/- at the beginning of the academic year for the whole year. Please refer to page no 23 of Prospectus 2024-25 for better clarity.
- Security Deposit is to be paid to the cash counter while collecting the RGU Mark Sheet.
4. Collection of RGU Marksheets & Payment of Security Deposit
- RGU Marksheets will be available in the College Office from 30th July 2024 for 2nd, 4th & 6th Semester students.

Those students with less than 75% attendance for 2nd & 4th Semester will pay the Security Deposit of Rs. 3,000/- and collect the Marksheet from the college office. Marksheets will have to be uploaded in the Online Re-Admission Form 2024-25.
5. Online Re-Admission for 3rd & 5th Semester
- Re-Admission Form fill-up will be done Online. NO OFFLINE FACILITY AVAILABLE.
- There are four steps to complete your re-admission form: 1. Personal Details, 2. Education Details, 3. Certificates and 4. Payment of 1st Installment.
- Keep ready the following documents for uploading: ABC ID, Aadhar Card, RGU Registration Card, marksheets of previous semesters
- You can make the payment of 1st Installment either Online or Offline in the DBC Cash Counter. After completing the Admission Form fill up of first three stages, that is, 1. Personal Details, 2. Education Details and 3. Certificates, the student can approach the DBC Cash Counter for making the payment offline. Office Staff will update your payment records in the admission form and the student can now download the PDF copy of the admission form.
- We have introduced QR Code and UPI number to make cashless payments in DBC. This facility is available only for paying the Installments and NOT for paying the Security Deposit.
A separate circular will be issued tomorrow, that is 29th July 2024 with the link for filling up the Online re-admission form. This circular will have the detailed information on re-admission procedure.
